How does it work?
Your 7-day free trial starts as soon as you complete registration, select a subscription plan, and enter your payment details. During the trial, you’ll have full access to all 15 languages and all Lingopie’s features so you can explore and learn at your own pace.
What is the verification charge?
At the start of your trial, you may see a small verification charge on your card. This is only used to confirm that your payment method is valid. Lingopie does not collect or keep these funds.
Most banks automatically reverse this temporary charge within a short period. However, some banks may take longer to process the reversal — this timing is entirely dependent on the bank or card issuer, not Lingopie.
If the amount doesn’t disappear from your statement within the expected timeframe, our Support Team can provide you with the STAN (System Trace Audit Number). You can share this number with your bank so they can locate and confirm the reversal of the transaction.
Which plans offer the free trial?
All Lingopie subscription plans come with a 7-day free trial. You can try features like Vocab for your Level, Double and Clickable Subtitles, Flashcards, Quizzes, and the Grammar Coach during this period.
Features included in your trial
During your free trial, you get full access to everything Lingopie offers — exactly the same experience as a paid subscription. This includes:
- All TV shows and videos in every supported language
- Vocabulary tools tailored to your level
- Clickable subtitles and dual subtitles
- Flashcards, quizzes, and review activities
- The Grammar Coach and all interactive learning features
You can explore the entire platform without restrictions, so you can truly see how Lingopie supports your language goals.
Extra learning options (Private & Group Lessons)
Want to boost your learning even more? Lingopie offers:
- Private Lessons — (available at a cost)
- Group Lessons — your first lesson is completely free (additional lessons available at a cost)
If you can’t attend your booked lesson, you can redeem it on another day. And if you experience technical issues when trying to join, just contact our Support Team — we’ll make sure you get an additional lesson at no cost.
How do I cancel my free trial?
You can cancel anytime during your trial to avoid charges — you won’t be billed if you cancel before the 7-day trial ends.
- Go to your Profile Settings on Lingopie.
- Click Plan.
- Select Update Membership.
- Click Cancel Subscription and confirm your cancellation.
Is the free trial available on mobile apps?
The free trial is available on iOS, but with some conditions: it applies only if you pay with a credit or debit card (payments via the App Store do not include the free trial), and it is currently available only to users in the USA.
Android users can also take advantage of the free trial — it just needs to be started on our website. Once you activate your trial there, log in to the Android app, and you’re all set to continue learning on mobile.
Can I preview Lingopie content without a trial?
Yes! On mobile apps, Lingopie offers a Freemium preview with limited content. To explore, close the pricing page pop-up using the “X” in the upper right corner of your device, then browse available content.
Can I use the free trial without providing a credit card?
No. To start the free trial, you’ll need to add a valid payment method first. Lingopie accepts credit and debit cards, and SEPA payments are also available for users in the EU.
Important note about billing:
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of the 7-day trial, and your payment method will be charged if you haven’t canceled.
