FAQs About Live Group Lessons

Lingopie Live Group Lessons give you the chance to practice languages in a fun, interactive group setting with experienced teachers. Below, you’ll find answers to the most common questions about lessons, subscriptions, lesson format, scheduling, and more.

Languages offered

• Currently available: Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Japanese.
• Coming soon: German.

Who can subscribe?

• Credit/debit card users can subscribe.
• Users who subscribe via Google Play or Apple App Store cannot access Live Group Lessons.
• Family plan and Classroom product users are not eligible.

Starting your first lesson

• Your first group lesson is free, giving you a chance to try it out.
• If you booked your first free lesson but missed it, you can still re-book.
• If you encountered technical issues during your first lesson, contact our support team, and we’ll happily grant an additional free lesson.
• After completing your first free lesson, you can subscribe to either the monthly or quarterly plan for unlimited access.

How do I know which group lesson to choose?

• Live Group Lessons are best suited for A2–B1 learners, but everyone is welcome! Each lesson includes tags like Everyday Talk, Special, Let’s Play, or Beginner Friendly to help you pick the right fit. If you’re brand new to a language, private lessons can help you learn the basics, but they’re not required. Our Beginner Friendly group lessons use simple vocabulary and a relaxed pace, making them a great option if you want to start learning in a group.
• Choose a lesson based on the title and description, your favorite teacher, or the learning materials provided to find what works best for you.

• You can enjoy one free lesson.

Subscribing after the free trial

• After your free lesson, you can choose your plan via the Live Lessons section in the catalog:

1. Go to the Live Lessons section on the left sidebar.
2. Switch to the Group Lessons tab.
3. Select a lesson that works for you and follow the prompts to subscribe.

• All lessons are displayed in your time zone. Check the catalog for the exact lesson times if you’re in a different time zone.

Lesson limits

• Unlimited access — attend as many lessons per month as you like.

Missed lessons

• If you miss a session, simply register for another session at a time that suits you.
• Multiple sessions are offered to accommodate different schedules and time zones.

Lesson format

• Lessons are conducted live online with experienced teachers.
• The interactive format allows real-time feedback and conversation practice.
• Each lesson also includes a downloadable PDF with lesson notes, featuring a sneak peek of the vocabulary covered.

Finding the schedule

• Access the full schedule of upcoming lessons in the Live Lessons section of the catalog once you subscribe.

Canceling your subscription

Cancel anytime from the Live Lessons section of your catalog:

1. Go to the bottom left corner (the small “human” icon).
2. Click Settings.
3. Find Group Lessons in your product list and manage your subscription from there.

• Access continues until the end of the current billing cycle.
